Mindset - Detector EDS

Mindset-Detector is an Event Detection System (EDS). It is a software platform based on machine learning (ML) technology, which enables the detection of pending problems in drinking water and sewage systems.

Mindset uses several techniques:

Seasonal statistics borders of each measurement
Anomalous leaps that don’t violate regulation
Violating engineering rules
Long term patterns and trends
Detection of low-quality data (static parameter, unlikely time period, fixed noise)

Unordinary behavior of the I/O cards
Abnormal event combination
Hazard predefined data combinations
Unreasonable noise
Unexplained variance between different monitoring stations

Main features of Mindset-Detector

MindSet Detector is built as a server, using Windows services’ architecture. It can be used as a stand-alone product or be integrated into any .net system using its API. OPC connectivity enables the integration of Detector with any SCADA.

Based on both public and proprietary machine learning algorithms, Detector builds a mathematical model for each selected unit that describes the relationship between inputs and outputs. No knowledge of mathematical modeling is required - models are generated automatically.

To avoid false alarms when your system moves from one state to another, Detector monitors operational changes in process variables.

Adjust for model sensitivity or set target value for false positives and false negatives.

Classify events as Hazard, Non-hazard, Maintenance or Instruments Malfunctioning, to improve model performance.
